Available for Windows & Simbian-based mobiles - Speccy Homepage
I stumbled upon this emulator today and was quite interested to see that the program supported Simbian-based mobile phones. Take your Speccy with you on the bus or train! Looking at the emulator, it supports all the normal formats, but really excels in it's support of hardware.
This emulator looks very complete and is being supported and updated. I first installed and had a play with SpecEmu some years ago when I upgraded to Windows XP, and it was my favourite for a long time, and was only because of my fault that I stopped using it. It emulates nearly as many machines as ZX Spin, and to be honest, emulates the most important ones anyway - the 48K, 128K or +2 and the +3.
ZX Spin was really the first piece of software I tried recently, so I it's still very fresh in my mind. It emulates the Spectrum perfectly, and as far as I can tell, is the most accurate representation of the various models of Spectrum - along with a few of the clones that were
produced in Russia.
